When we opened our first location in Mesa all those years ago, we had no idea that in 2020 we’d be opening our fourth restaurant! We’re thrilled to have to first Backyard Taco in Chandler, Arizona with future plans to open even more locations. Been 3 times in 2 weeks since discovering. I've enjoyed all the different offerings, and the salsa bar is fabulous. Fast, fresh, and in or outdoor seating enjoyable, clean, and great space to meet a friend or 2
Birria Quesadilla was great just wish a little more cheese. Spacious location and clean.
This place is amazing. I think authentic Mexican means Mexican food made really good… like this place does. We usually judge a Mexican restaurant by their salsa, theirs is different than any we’ve ever had before. But most importantly the tacos are amazing. We’ll be back… often.
First time here and I’ll be back. I love the salsa bar, it’s the highlight of the experience. I tried the chicken tacos and the birria tacos. Neither were super flavorful but the salsas, onions, radishes, cucumbers, and limes from the salsa bar really dressed them up. Service was friendly...

“We dined for the first time at this restaurant after it opened in my neighborhood. The indoor sitting area is huge, almost double of most chipotle. The restaurant was very clean, including rest areas. They have many good options for vegetarians, their boiled (not fried) beans are suitable for vegetarians, they do tell you upfront about their beans which is really good and honest. The food was good, the potato item was new for us, liked it. This restaurant is a new addition to restaurants I frequently go-to, and it can be for all vegetarian people. Vegetarian options: Their menu includes a vegetarian burrito, burrito bowl, crazy potato and they can also make cheese and bean quesadilla.”
